Access to libraries
Access to libraries is granted to everybody. Some libraries request you to leave or simply show your University card at the entrance desk.
The libraries provide a variety of large and small reading rooms for different types of study.
There are also many study areas equipped with PCs and wi-fi connection.
Locate a document
To find a book or a journal in a library you have to search the online catalogue which contains records of all the books, journals, newspapers (both printed and electronic) available at the University of Padova. The catalogue gives information on book location and availability. You can also use it to check your Library Account and see which books you have on loan. Before your books are due back you can extend their loan, provided they have not been reserved and you can also reserve books which are not immediately available.
You can borrow material for a determined period of time. The loan is personal and to borrow books you must show your university badge. More information on library websites or guides.
Digital Library - electronic resources
All the electronic resources (databases, ejournals, online catalogues, etc.) available to the University of Padova users can be searched and accessed through the Padova Digital Library website.
